SHOP + DROP
Shop + Drop is a volunteer-led initiative set up to shop for food and essential items for vulnerable people in Hertford who are self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.
There’s no arguing that these are difficult times, but we know that our communities are strong and ready to come together in kindness and support.
We can’t stop the virus, but we can help you get what you need.
We can get a range of basic supplies to isolated at-risk people who are self-isolating during this pandemic. You don’t have to leave the house or figure out a complicated online grocery website.
We’re particularly mindful of the major challenges faced by older people in our community right now – the virus itself, limited access to online shopping, support networks, and the impact that isolation can have on mental health.
*** Service now expanded to support people living in SG12 ***
We are currently supporting people living in the SG12, SG13 and SG14 postcodes, with deliveries on Tuesdays (for orders before 12pm on Monday) and Thursdays (for orders before 12pm on Wednesday)
Who’s behind Shop + Drop?
Shop + Drop was set-up by local business owners and parents, Jo and Deri Hughes. It’s supported by an awesome team of volunteers and partners who are contributing their time, expertise and money to help our local communities. Thank you so much to everyone who has offered to help.
